Soaking in the Last of Summer

As the nights begin to cool and the clouds roll in; a sure sign of imminent rain and sweater weather around the corner, we are soaking in the final Friday night adventures in our favourite neighbourhood.

Main Street has offered us some of our best memories this summer and we want to continue that until we give into the pumpkin spiced latte gods and cozy up in front of the fire, officially cuffed for the season. Here’s how to take advantage of the final Summer nights on Main Street - plain jane style. (Don’t worry, we’ll release a Fall guide too.)

We recommend starting your evening browsing the streets for a little retail therapy, Nineteen Ten, Eugene Choo are favourites, or one of the many vintage spots like The Main Exchange.

After working up a thirst while shopping, the patio at Sing Sing is calling your name for one last slushie drink. Grab a drink, or two and a bite to eat. Enjoy the last of patio season and the ambiance of Main Street. Other food favorites include Autostrada, MeeT, Published and East is East.

If you want to continue the party, The Shameful Tiki Room is the spot for cocktails, Brassneck Brewery is a lowkey option for some beers with friends.

Enjoy creating your own Main Street memories! (Of course, if you indulge a little too much, book a facial at plain jane Skinbar for the day after. Your skin will thank you.)
